For the past 6 years, Thalo Santana has been active in the Cologne and Berlin underground music landscape as a DJ, producer, clubbooker, promoter and music curator. Born in Brazil, he founded the HOOVE collective in 2016, with which he contributed significantly to the redefinition of the local scene by developing and presenting a more groovy and diverse ap-proach in his selection.

In July 2020, Thalo and his good friends DJOKO, Pascal Wagner and J.Feierabend launched their musical imprint with HOOVE Records and released his first EP on vinyl, which sold out in a short time and stayed at #1 on the charts for three weeks. Two more releases followed, which also sold out and stayed at #1 on the Decks.de charts for more than 2 weeks.

After three years as a promoter in Cologne, Thalo decided to make a bigger move and moved to Berlin where he quickly joined the label and event series Home Again where he started playing as a resident DJ and released his first solo EP in 2019 which quickly sold out and was played by DJs such as Giammarco Orsini, Velasco, DJ Tjizza, DJOKO, Jacopo Latini, Josh Baker and many others. Today, Thalo plays an important role in the label as A&R and curator of the label‘s musical output. Thalo‘s sets incorporate decade-long research in all areas of house music, beyond genre boundaries and with precise and perfectly mastered mixing, which he has proven in prestigious venues in Berlin, Amsterdam and around the world (O MATO, Brazil | Shelter, Amsterdam | Audioriver Festival, Poland).

Since 2021, Thalo has been curating the new party series Planet Pleasure at the new infamous club RSO in Berlin as resident DJ and promoter. His Brazilian nature comes through every time you see him behind the decks. He spreads groove, deepness, funkyness, good vibes and is always on the hunt for new records and styles to mix into his versatile sets.
